I really have to get better at blogging more regularly.
Anyway, I'm posting today because I've decided not to renew the Aspentreeyarns.com website. I'm hoping that anyone trying to search on aspentreeyarns.com finds this blogpost instead, or my Etsy shop. I'm not going out of business, however; I'm just changing directions regarding marketing and "finding my tribe", as Luann Udell so aptly puts it. The website was never really more than a digital billboard -- a sign in the wilderness saying "Here I am, I make cool yarn, look at these pics, email me..." Well, there are now many more ways, besides a conventional website to make one's online presence known in the fiber world: Etsy, Ravelry, Facebook even.
So, this month should see me re-opening the AspenTreeYarns Etsy shop, and dipping my nervous toes in the big ocean that is Ravelry.
Oh, yeah, and updating this blog more than once every 2 1/2 years!
